The Insurgent and Insurgent Pick-Up's textures are named "dillo", likely short for Armadillo.

The Insurgent is distinctive by its armored body, which is able to withstand more damage than the average car, even able to withstand direct impacts from explosive weapons, comparable to a Rhino Tank. It can also ram parked vehicles and continue to drive without any noticeable damage, and it will only show body deformation after a large number of collisions. It also seems to have a degree of top-heaviness that is evident while airborne, however it makes up for it by being able to recover abnormally fast from a rollover, relative to its class. The Insurgent can cripple or even disable many other road vehicles if given a direct hit at full speed, and will usually run over lighter cars, deforming them and often breaking wheels or axles. The Insurgent's sheer weight means that it is a formidable vehicle towards other players. Though the engine model or bay cannot be seen, the sound is similar to that of the Landstalker's, but slightly smoother, coupled to a 6-speed gearbox in a front engine, all-wheel drive layout. However, it is able to quickly recover from rolling over. The Insurgent is abnormally sensitive in the air, and may be prone to crash landings if the user is not careful. It has a decent cornering radius and understeer is relatively minor. The Insurgent's immense weight helps to keep it grounded when cornering, and contributes to it having good handling for a vehicle of its stature. In terms of overall performance, the acceleration is somewhat lacking due to its heavy weight, but it has an acceptable top speed. The vehicle's primary color is applied onto the bodywork and the sump guards, while the secondary color is applied onto the parts holding the winch, front towing hooks, hood vent and bars, side roof rails, roof hatch hinges, fenders, rear towing hooks and the bolt details on the rear bumper. 
The underside feature sump guards just near the axles, along with large, armored wheels with rugged, high-profile tires. The rear compartment is detailed with a floor plate and two benches. The rear end is basically composed of the dual set of square tail lights, a reinforced bumper and a large unopenable door. A hatch can be seen on the roof, though it is unusable. The single windshield also features a bolted-on detail.

The sides are distinguished by the bulky fenders and the armored details on the doors, with an extra set of windows for the rear compartment and the side steps and roof rails. Its hood is completely sealed for total protection to the engine, featuring a large vent and metal plates around it. The Insurgent is a large and bulky vehicle evidently purposed as a military vehicle, whose front end features a reinforced bumper and dual grilles with multiple vent holes facing downwards, intended to protect the radiator while providing the necessary air flow. The vehicle also draws loose inspiration from the Marauder, given the raised suspension, semi-squared door windows and a similar tail lights setup. The front and sides are very likely to have been influenced by the Alpine Armoring Pitbull VX, while the general shape of the greenhouse area seems to take influence from the Oshkosh Sandcat. The Insurgent is a SUV-like Light Armored Personnel Vehicle (LAPV) that is inspired by the Terradyne Armored Vehicles and NIMR LLC line of tactical armored vehicles, with some influences from the Conquest Knight XV for the grille layout.
